Day 12: 12 Days of Hope ⭐
Submitted by Laura
As we wrap up the 12 Days of Hope campaign, Laura McKeand, Volunteer Engagement and Workforce Development Support for Essex Recovery Foundation, shares a heartfelt message to celebrate the progress made by all on their recovery journeys. Laura reminds us that “each day is a new opportunity to grow, heal, learn, and thrive.” She acknowledges the challenges of the road to recovery - the tough days, long nights, and moments of loneliness - but emphasises the importance of community, saying, “You are not alone. There is a community of support cheering you on every step of the way. Please reach out.”
A huge thank you to Laura for her inspiring message and for coordinating this incredible campaign, and to everyone who has shared their stories over these 12 days. Let’s carry the hope, strength, and connection we’ve built into the new year - it’s going to be our best yet.
